Cancer Free

Surgery today went as good as can be. Ralph and Lauren are officially gone. My lymph node came back cancer free (so I got to keep the rest of my lymph nodes on that side – and this means the cancer didn’t spread). Plus when they removed the tissue on the right side there was no tumor there – meaning chemo did it’s job and destroyed it! Pathology results will be back Monday which will tell us if there were any remaining cancer cells in what was removed. But either way, I can now officially declare that I am CANCER FREE! Woot woot.

My pain is really well managed – I’m sore and my range of motion isn’t great but the meds are working pretty well and I’m comfortably chilling in my hospital bed. Also, my pee is deep blue from the tracer dye they used to find my lymph nodes. It’s weird.

Now that I have new foobs (fake boobs) I think they need new names – let me know in the comments what you think they should be called!

Unfortunately I had major surgery today.

Fortunately I feel pretty great. (Thanks to Percocet and a whole slew of other drugs) hopefully the Percocet isn’t making my update completely crazy and weird – I’ll give a more detailed update once I’m home and a little less drugged up!
